International. In its 7th edition, PaintExpo had 537 exhibitors from 29 countries, the industrial coating technology fair not only set a new record for exhibitor numbers. The number of visitors also increased by about 12% for a total of 11,790. Visitors traveled to Karlsruhe, Germany, from 88 countries.
"The quality of the visitors is outstanding, which means that not only have we been able to establish very interesting contacts and meet important people, we also received several good orders directly at the event. Beyond this, the fair is an excellent networking opportunity for us," said John Richardson, Marketing Communications and PR Manager at British Carlisle Fluid Technologies.
Almost all 537 exhibitors (an increase of 7.2% compared to 2016) who participated in this year's world's fair for industrial coating technology from April 17 to 20 expressed similar levels of satisfaction. They came from 29 countries, and the proportion of companies outside Germany, namely 36.3%, was about 5% higher than in 2016.
The seventh edition of PaintExpo also saw a sharp increase in net exhibition space amounting to 16.6%, totaling 15,674 square meters (168,700 square feet). As a result, the industry meeting was evenly distributed in three well-occupied halls for the first time at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Center.
In addition to the number of visitors attending and his high level of internationalism, his experience and propensity to invest were also decisive for the success of the fair. This is confirmed by Daniela Nett, from the marketing department of Dürr Systems GmbH: "Our second appearance at this fair has confirmed that PaintExpo is one of the most important fairs for us, and that this is precisely where we need to be. Visitors know exactly what they want, so that very concrete discussions can take place based on real projects. In addition, we meet visitors here from a wide variety of industrial sectors. This is also one of the reasons why we like to exhibit here. Instead of running from one trade fair to the next, all sectors relevant to us are represented here."
The next PaintExpo, for which numerous exhibitors have already confirmed their participation, will take place at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre from 21 to 24 April 2020.
