Mexico. Automaker FCA honored the entire Dürr de Mexico team with a Supplier Recognition Award for their exceptional performance during the launch of the Jeep Compass at the Toluca Assembly Plant.
FCA designed the Compass to expand the jeep brand's global reach. To help achieve this goal, the automaker expected excellence from its supply base.
"While launching a new product often presents unique challenges, Dürr was recognized for its exceptional dedication, sense of urgency and focus on quality among all suppliers working on this program," said Steffen Zörn, Managing Director of Dürr de Mexico, who accepted the award at FCA Mexico's Suppliers Council. held at the Bankers Club in Mexico City.
A large part of the prize was due to the modifications and expansion of the Dürr building. The automaker's paint booths were equipped with the latest Dürr painting and sealing robots, application technology, paint circulation systems, special paint supply systems and a new two-tone process for the recent Jeep Compass model. Dürr also delivered the display network.
With the award, FCA also recognized Dürr for its continued support to production in Toluca after the start of operations in 2017.
