International. Hempel introduces its new epoxy coating to help extend the life of industrial assets. The new solution offers faster drying times and shorter minimum coating intervals for the oil and gas, infrastructure and power generation sector.
Dubbed Hempaprime Multi 500, the product is specifically designed for rapid drying to optimize productivity by shortening the working hours needed for its application, allows three layers to be applied in 20% less time than current products, without compromising the quality, strength, finish or high-volume solids of the product.
This coating can be used directly on metal or impured surfaces, as a primer, middle layer or top layer application and is also ideal for minor repairs that offer customers simplicity with a single coating solution. This high-performance solution ensures a long service life for heavy industrial applications, helping to minimize maintenance requirements.
Due to its solidity, fast drying time, faster development of hardness and improved cracking resistance, it is possible to move coated steel or even build on it faster, with a reduced risk of damaging the coating. This decreases the need for reblasting and recoating, saving time and money.
