International. Sun Chemical announced that it has formed a commercial alliance with Sapici to commercialize Sapici's portfolio of laminated adhesives under the Sun Chemical brand name.
The alliance allows Sun Chemical to market these laminated adhesives exclusively in North and South America, the Middle East and Africa. The products will be sold under the Sun Chemical brand and Sapici brand names in Europe.
As a producer of isocyanate compounds for lamination adhesives, Sapici's portfolio complements Sun Chemical and its parent company with DIC Corporation's range of lamination adhesives. The alliance offers a full range of solutions for the flexible packaging market. "This partnership will allow Sapici to value our continued commitment to research and development and manufacturing, investments and capabilities, and to continuously share them with the global flexible packaging industry," said Cristian Furiosi, Executive Chairman of Sapici.
"This agreement will allow us to offer the global flexible packaging market with innovative lamination adhesives, including technologies such as Sapici's zero migration solutions, generating new measurable growth opportunities across the industry and its target applications," added Furiosi.
