International. Orion Engineered Carbons, a supplier of specialty and high-performance carbon blacks, announced that it will expand its production capacity at its Norcarb Engineered Carbons AB plant in Malmö, Sweden.
The decongestion of this line will provide an additional specialty carbon black to supply the fiber, wire and cable, and adhesives and sealants markets.
"The capacity expansion in Malmö is a further step in the rapid alignment of Orion's portfolio towards higher value-added specialist applications and technical rubber applications," said Jack Clem, CEO of Orion. "Malmö's products will primarily support our customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. This action is a reflection of our customers' high confidence in Orion's products and technical support capabilities."
