Colombia. In order to increase and support the area of research and development, Andercol announced that it has made a version of more than 1,100 million pesos (about US$379 thousand), for the construction of a new pilot plant located in the municipality of Barbosa, Antioquia, for the research of products derived from biomass.
The construction of the pilot plant did begin in September 2015 and with this they hope will improve the productivity, among other things, of products from biomass. These raw materials can be used for products of the different lines of the brand's chemical business portfolio.
This year the pilot plant is already enabled to start production immediately. In the design and implementation of this project, the areas of Research and Development and Manufacturing, among other administrative areas of the company, were especially involved.
