International. Technavio has announced that the global optical coatings market is expected to grow at a CAGR close to 8% during the forecast period from 2017 to 2021.
Anti-glare coatings recorded the highest market share at 34.83%, followed by optical filter coatings with 23% of the market.
"Anti-reflective coatings are durable and possess decent physical and environmental damage. Due to these properties, it is deeply used in various lenses and optics. The application of anti-reflective coatings is increasing in the construction, energy, optics and imaging industries," said Ajay Adikari, a leading analyst at Technavio.
Transparent and high-flung conductive coatings also contribute to the market with 18% and 13%, respectively.
