The Chemours Company announced that it has completed the sale of its Cleaning and Disinfectants business – part of the Chemical Solutions segment – to Lanxess for approximately $230 million.
"The announcement is another example of the successful execution of our Five Point Transformation Plan," said Mark Vergnano, President and CEO of Chemours. "In just one year, we completed the sale of our aniline facilities, as well as the sale of the Sulfur Products and Cleaning and Disinfectants businesses. These shares have generated approximately $695 million of total gross revenue, reflecting a multiple of 10 to 12 times ebitda from those sales."
The Cleaning and Disinfectants business , with approximately $110 million in combined revenue, is a set of leading oxidation chemical businesses focused on providing innovative cleaning and disinfection solutions for a wide range of human health, industrial, consumer, and animal applications. The product range is organized into three main categories: Disinfectants, Oxone® and Chlorine Dioxide.
