Axalta Coating Systems announced that it will invest in its powder coatings manufacturing plant in Montbrison, France, to substantially improve manufacturing capabilities.
The company assures that through this site they will achieve important improvements, including the use of intelligent automation and improving production technology in the linked ferrous metal lines. As part of the improvements, the workflow at the facility will undergo a transformation designed to improve efficiency, productivity and overall quality.
"The goal of our investment to innovate in our industrial business is to create a better experience for our customers," said Michael Cash, President of Industrial Coatings at Axalta. "With automation and improved production technology at Montbrison, we will be able to offer customers improved lead times and greater flexibility. Improvements in bonded metal production lines will contribute to generating higher quality powders and at least doubling our production capacity in this growing segment."
The Montbrison headquarters is one of the largest production facilities for Alesta®, one of Axalta's powder coating brands.
