Lamosa, a manufacturer of coatings and adhesives, reported a 19% increase in its revenues in 2015, registering 10,636 million pesos (about US$603 million), due to an increase in financing to acquire housing and an improvement in consumption in the country.
This dynamic in local consumption means that the company has budgeted for this year to increase its revenues by 14%, and make investments of about US $ 170 million in maintenance and expansion of capacity.
The president of Lamosa, Federico Toussaint, told the media that the budget they have is US$130 million, but that he will apply another US$44 million destined to finish the construction of a new plant, which will be located in Querétaro and will have a capacity of eight million square meters of porcelain. Its start of operations is scheduled for June of this year.
"Housing dynamics after adjustments to government policies are seeing very positive activity," Toussaint said.
