BASF announced that on March 7 it will open a new Refinish Competition Center in Houston. The center includes the latest in virtual and in-person training facilities, paint booths, and application equipment to enable next-generation training for all job functions in the collision repair industry.
"We're not just teaching the latest painting techniques here in Houston," said Paul Whittleston, vice president of Automotive Refinish, North America at BASF. "We now offer classes at Vision Plus University and Advanced Enterprise Solutions to help our customers drive the business further through their stores."
"Our new training center brings us closer to our customers in the Southwest," said Nick Maloof, director of Automotive Refinish. "The new facility can also support industry and networking events, with capacity for 50 people, to improve customer interactions. We also look forward to hosting a variety of business groups and industry organizations at our new facility."
Classes will begin at the BASF Refinish Competence Center in mid-March.
