Europe. Arkema Coatings Resins and OMYA, a global producer of industrial minerals and distributor of specialty chemicals, announced that they are expanding their existing distribution cooperation across Europe to include liquid resins for the coatings industry, in addition to existing agreements in thickeners, dispersion agents, and plastic additives.
Under this distribution agreement, OMYA will market arkema's full product range of coating resins used on the market throughout Europe, exclusively, except in Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania. The performance will begin on January 1, 2016.
As a result, and after many years of cooperation, Arkema also announced that it has decided to end its liquid resin distribution agreement with Grolman Group, effective December 31 of this year. However, Grolman Group remains Arkema's distributor for some brands for the paints and coatings industry throughout that region.
