International. Custom Milling and Consulting (CMC) announced that it is increasing its processing capacity to better serve its customers. In early 2015 CMC added a new construction of 36,000 square meters in its facilities. 12,000 square meters of that space have been dedicated to increase wet milling production.
This new processing area adds to the existing area of 23,500 square meters and is being equipped with the latest in state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
The company said it is making progress in the processing area that includes: a new dust collection system, power stations with enough capacity to operate up to 1,000 total horsepower of the equipment, and 300 square feet of refrigerated storage. An indoor tank yard will be equipped with new tanks for high-volume production; an automated filling station will be installed to improve batch accuracy, and a 90-tonne chiller for products requiring precise temperature control.
Several new horizontal medium mills and process tanks up to 1,500 gallons will allow CMC to manufacture dispersions for a wide range of industries. There will be several high-volume stations with horizontal media mills that will be fully worked and capable of reaching sub-micrometric particle sizes. All improvements to the new equipment will allow processing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds per hour and more than 100,000 pounds per day, depending on processing requirements.
