United States. Kelly-Moore Paints announced the results of its 2016 Color of the Year survey of interior designers and members of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
The color chosen was Horizon Gray, a natural choice for the bedroom and living room, but one that is certainly not limited to these areas.
Other colors chosen behind the winner were Princess Kate KM5035, Foggy Night KM4580 and Orange Bronze KM5406. A trend discovered from this survey was the appearance of Zen colors across the board.
"Within the 2016 color gamut, we see a shift from cleaner, high-chroma colors to smoother, calmer colors," said Mary Lawlor, Color Marketing Manager. "The Horizon Gray COTY 2016 embraces this remarkable color change, while maintaining its ability to work well with previous color trends."
The colors selected for the survey as the most influential colors of 2016 have been chosen to reflect changes in current trends in home décor. Kelly-Moore Paints recruited color strategist, Leslie Harrington, PhD, to create a survey that was shared among professional interior designers, all ASID certified.
