Peru. The Institute of Corrosion and Protection will carry out from October 29 to 31 the Course for Inspector in Bridge Coatings, which will be held in the city of Lima.
In this course the fundamentals of how to inspect the coating of a bridge in service and the inspection of surface preparation and coating application work in steel bridge maintenance are presented. These fundamentals are applicable to the work of those professionals and technicians who inspect work both in the workshop and in the field.
Those in charge of teaching the course are Dr. Santiago Flores Merino, Bachelor of Chemistry (PUCP). PhD in Materials Science and Master in Materials of Technological Interest – Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. Eng. Luis Tapia, Mechanical Engineer, specialist in coatings for steel and concrete with more than 20 years of experience; and Eng. Moisés Alberca, Chemical Engineer, graduated from the Master's Degree in Engineering and Materials Sciences – PUCP Post-Graduate School, with more than 15 years of experience in coatings.
