Cuba. The paint manufacturer Devox General Paint confirmed the installation of a production plant in Zedm (Mariel Special Development Zone), located west of Havana, at a distance of 45 Km.
This would be the second company in Mexico to be installed in this area, since the arrival of the Richmeat company was previously approved.
"The project consists of a manufacturing plant for domestic paints and anticorrosive paints for industrial use, for consumption in Cuba and for export purposes," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico explained in a statement.
The Mariel Special Development Zone is a project aimed at promoting the sustainable economic development of Cuba, through the attraction of foreign investment, technological innovation and industrial concentration, while guaranteeing the protection of the environment.
