United States. Axalta Coating Systems confirmed its strategic alliance with Hempel that will enable the formulation and availability of an external coating system with internal corrosion protection with advanced flow efficiency to oil and gas conveyor pipelines.
"We, at Axalta, are thrilled to partner with Hempel and this is for the purpose of offering a full line of powder products and liquid coatings for the U.S. market," said Ron Hull, sales manager for Axalta USA.
This new relationship combines the corrosion protection found in the melting of Axalta's epoxy adhesive powders for external pipeline and gas pipeline tubes together with Advanced Hempel, an epoxy liquid that gives efficiency in the inner lining of the same. The combination of these products results in an internal and external coating resistant to corrosion and abrasion, designed and suitable for even the most difficult environments.
"By linking hempel and Axalta's product offerings, we seek to offer the gas transportation and manufacturing industry greater technology and a competitiveness platform," explained Hempel's Martin Miller.
