International. SunJet, Sun Chemical's global inkjet division, beat out more than 15 finalists to be named "Innovator of the Year 2015" during the Stationers Annual Innovation Excellence Awards Ceremony held recently in London.
The company received recognition for its low-migration injection inks for food packaging in recognition of its 'novel chemistry' application. The development produces compatible inks specifically designed to prevent components within the ink from migrating to packaged foods.
Commenting on the award, Peter Saunders, SunJet's Chief Business Officer, said: "We are constantly looking for ways in which we push the boundaries of innovation in the development of our inks, so we are delighted that our continued commitment to research and technological advancement has been recognised with this prestigious award."
