International. Orion Engineered Carbons launched two new carbon black pigment technologies aimed at formulators meeting performance requirements across a wide range of coating applications.
The first is a pigment that sets a new bar of high degree of darkness, coloristic performance, and compatibility with solvent and water systems. It allows formulators to maintain performance and coloristic properties while migrating to waterborne formulations. This development is known as the Colour Black FW255.
The other product is a high-jet coating that provides exceptional dispersion capacity and stability in industrial applications. It works on all coating formulations – solvent-based, high solids, water-based and powder coatings – providing formulators with flexibility. It is known as Special Black 40.
