For its contribution to the growth and promotion of exports in the business community in the United States over the past three years, Sauereisen, a manufacturer of corrosion-resistant materials, received in mid-May 2010 the presidential "E" Star recognition for the second time in the company's history. The "E" and "E" Star awards were given to 22 companies and organizations, which were highlighted by Commerce Secretary Gary Locke. "Today we honor companies that are selling high-quality products and services in every corner of the globe, but more importantly, they help create more jobs for American workers," Locke said.
The companies recognized with the "E" and "E" Star awards are the first since President Obana's announcement of the National Export Initiative that seeks to double American exports and boost the creation of 2 million new jobs by 2015.
