Spain. The company Quinta Ingeniería, manufacturer and developer of machines for special processes, markets an automated corrosion testing equipment, patented by the University of Cádiz (UCA) and created by the Corrosion and Protection research group. The purpose of the testing machine is to accelerate the corrosion process in certain materials, which are subjected to altered immersions under controlled conditions in a laboratory in which different environments are recreated allowing the behavior of the materials to be studied.
The automatic device does short- or long-term tests without the need for an operator. The materials are tested on liquids of different compositions and concentrations.
