International. Executive Mark Peters has been appointed by Orion Engineered Carbons as the new senior vice president and general manager for the Americas region.
Based at Orion Americas' headquarters located in the town of Kingwood, Texas, Peters is now responsible for all aspects of the company's performance in the Americas.
Mark Peters is a petrochemical manufacturing industry veteran with 28 years of experience in the field. He spent 24 years with The Dow Chemical Company, where he held leadership positions in engineering; plant, headquarters and management of global business; and joint development. Prior to joining Orion Engineered Carbons, Peters served as Vice President of Manufacturing for Goradia Capital, LLC, and as Director of Business Development for Braskem America.
Peters earned a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Mississippi State University, which named him a Distinguished Engineering Fellow in 2009.
Orion Engineered Carbons is a company in charge of the manufacture of black carbon, which offers products for coatings, printing inks, polymers, rubbers and other applications. The company currently has 1,360 employees worldwide and has fourteen global production sites and four technology application centers.
