The VersaMix VMC-150 mixer is a custom triple shaft mixer for 150 gallons with elaborate automation and safety features.
Among its features are six pneumatic clamps, rated at 4,000 pounds each, for remote locking of the mixing vessel to the mixer cover designed for a vacuum of 29.5" Hg and an internal pressure of 5 psi. These also fulfill the function of switches, allowing the operation of the equipment only when they are secured.
The three independent motor agitators include a high-speed sawtooth disperser blade to quickly moisten the product, a three-wing anchor for efficient transport of viscous products through the mixing zone, as well as a third axis, high-shear rotor/stator homogenizer for emulsifying.
The sides and bottom of the mixing vessel are coated and insulated to operate up to 100 PSIG at 120°C.
