AkzoNobel
AkzoNobel has developed a new transparent varnish with ultraviolet technology that represents an energy saving of almost 80% for repair centers. The technology, which is available in the Sikkens and Lesonal brands, reduces the vehicle's dwell time in the paint booth to just 12 minutes without the need for baking, providing a significant increase in productivity, as well as savings in gas and electricity consumption compared to traditional cooking processes.
The product known as Autoclear UV has no need to bake, which means that valuable space and time in the cabin can be freed up for more crucial repairs. In the same way, it is an ideal technology for the repairs of hybrid vehicles in which there is a risk of damaging the batteries by subjecting them to the intense heat of the cabin furnace. Thus, by varnishing the parts without the need to heat them, the process becomes more efficient and safer.
