International. A new technology designed to withstand the physical and thermal shock common to the marine environment has been presented by Belzona, it is a new chocking/grouting compound specifically formulated to spread homogeneously on irregular surfaces.
The technology can be stored and has currently been tested to confirm a three-year shelf life. The recommended shelf life is expected to increase to five years, when the test is finished.
Named Belzona 7111, the product is ideal for pouring into the bases of heavy ship propulsion systems and other heavy equipment where alignment and anchoring are essential. Since the machining of the foundation is not required, the cost and time for the installation of machinery can be significantly reduced.
The system is 100% solids, so it will not be reduced during curing and possesses self-leveling properties, making it easy to apply quickly and easily.
