According to the report, the largest group is vinyl base adhesives. About $3.5 billion tons of this type were traded in 2011. Above average growth of more than 3% per year is expected for the demand for acrylic-based adhesives during the period 2011 to 2019.
Among other outstanding figures, Ceresana affirms that more than half of the adhesives that are marketed are water-based and that this trend will continue. The construction industry will become the most important market for this sector with an estimated 3.4%.
