Germany/Italy. The German multinational company, Brenntag, announced the acquisition of the Italian distributor of petroleum additives, Petrolube. The amount of the operation between the two companies was about US $ 1,000 million.
Petrolobe distributes the manufactured products of the company Infineum International. With this negotiation, Brenntag hopes to increase the production of petroleum additives and strengthen its strategic relationship.
In 2012, Petrolube expects to achieve earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in excess of one million dollars.
Brenntag also published its income statement for the previous year in which it increased its sales by 15.4%, while in the first quarter of this year it reported an increase of 10.4%.
