Brazil. AkzoNobel, through its Automotive and Aerospace Coatings division, was selected as the official supplier of products and services for the automotive repainting of Renault vehicles in Brazil.
The agreement, signed by both companies in the first days of September, contemplates that the coatings of the multinational paints will be considered as "official products" of Renault, replacing a line of its own that was used until now.
Currently the vehicle manufacturer has more than 180 points of sale throughout Brazil and the goal for AkzoNobel is to reach half of them during the first year of validity of the agreement, so it is already preparing a group of experts that will advise dealers.
Additionally, it will have tintometric systems with a high-precision balance and software that recognizes more than 80,000 color formulas and is capable of reproducing any of the tones applied in Renault vehicles.
The agreement will be valid for two years, as announced by both companies after six months of negotiations: "Without a doubt our goal is to prolong this alliance and consolidate it. That is why offering solutions in quality and innovative products and services will be one of our focuses in this joint work," said Almir Gozzi, general manager of Automotive and Aerospace Coatings at AkzoNobel in Latin America.
