The alkyd enamel is made with high-quality organic pigments, free of heavy metals (lead, chromium, etc.). It offers excellent color and gloss retention, is easy to apply, and provides superior covering power, good leveling, flexibility, corrosion resistance, and adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.
The Esmalack line features a matching system with 5,000 colors that are easy to apply and highly durable. For spot colors, there are three available finishes: glossy (EE-0XXX) in all colors, matte (EE-1XXX) in black and white, and satin (EE-2XXX) in white.
The surface must be completely free of defects. Remove all oil residues, grease, dust, and any other contaminants from the surface. Wash the surface until all contaminants are removed, then rinse thoroughly with water and let it dry. Remove loose paint, if any, and roughen glossy surfaces with sandpaper. If the surface is contaminated with fungi, wash it with a bleach and detergent solution, rinse, and let dry for 24 hours.
For alkalinity issues (saltpeter), brush the surface with a solution of 4 parts water to 1 part muriatic acid. Rinse with water and repeat the process until no fizzing occurs on the wall. Then, apply Alkali Sealant (VS-2050), diluted at a ratio of 3 parts water to 1 part sealant, before applying EE-0XXX ESMALACK.
Concrete: For new concrete (cured for 28 days) or surfaces in good condition, first apply Anti-Alkali Sealer (VS-2050), following the instructions in the technical datasheet.
Steel: If the surface is new metal, it is recommended to apply the specified anticorrosive alkyd primer (EP-0XXX). If there is old peeling paint or the surface is in poor condition, it should be completely removed using a spatula, wire brush, or paint remover.
