Polyurethane manufacturers looking for an alternative to solid curing agents, such as MBOCA (MOCA), have found that the healing ETHACURE 300, from leading specialty chemical manufacturer Albemale Corporation (NYSE: ALB), offers an easy-to-handle, high-performance option in hot- and cold-emptying PU elastomer applications. Unlike granular curing agents, which must be melted at a temperature greater than the boiling point of water (212º F) or combined with a liquid before mixing them with pre-polymers, the healing ETHACURE 300 has been used for more than 20 years as an ideal polyurethane curing agent in both cold emptying applications (such as tools and spare parts, short-operated production molds, conveyor belts, shock absorbers, pulleys and rollers and field repair systems) such as in hot-emptying elastomers for rollers in industrial mills, inline skid wheels, abrasion-resistant mining tools and many more).
