Dow Chemical launched the new Airstone 77-T3, an epoxy-based adhesive system used to create finishes on structures such as wind blades.
This product represents an evolution of the Airstone 77 line of adhesives, which are used by manufacturers to help meet the needs of the wind industry and strengthen and alleviate the weight of the blades.
The Airstone 77-T3 offers an optimal balance of 30% and 10% faster curing range, compared to previous adhesives, to increase manufacturing productivity. This adhesive is also less thixotropic than traditional ones, in addition, it optimizes the mechanical performance of the blades, granting 30% more resistance to fractures to increase their durability.
