BYK Additives & Instruments brings a new additive to market. This is the BYK-1640, made from polymers, is a VOC and silicone free defoamer for aqueous systems which are also suitable for some applications that come into direct contact with food.
BYK-1640 is a mineral oil-based additive making it emission-free and odor-neutral, silicone-free and easy to incorporate. It provides high versatility that makes it applicable for: architecture, protection, coatings on cans and paper, as well as on adhesives, construction chemicals and printing inks.
It is a very economical defoamer with excellent performance and not only in low doses.
