Emerald Specialties has launched FOAM BLAST, two new 100% active defoamers for coatings, graphic arts and aqueous or curable energy (UV/EB) applications.
On the one hand there is the innovative FOAM BLAST 4213, a synthetic product of organically modified silicone (OMS); and on the other hand appears the FOAM BLAST 4149, a composition of synthetic block copolymer developed as an alternative without silicone. Both products offer excellent initial and long-term foam control for products such as flexographic inks and interior or architectural coatings.
FOAM BLAST 4213 and 4149 can be added at low levels of use (0.2–0.6%) during pigment crushing or descent, to achieve excellent long-lasting foam control and superior finish, without defects, craters or fish eyes caused by the foam.
Both are low in VOC and free of ethoxylated alkylphenols (PSA).
