The use of curable UV recumbiremintos and inks in food packaging applications has been limited due to odor and taste transfer concerns. To this end, Allnex has developed Ebecryl 85, a low-migration resin for UV food packaging.
The LM (Low Migration) series are resins spatially designed for the formulation of printing inks and coatings for indirect contact with food. Curable UV/Eb resins are carefully prepared with special raw materials and blends to prevent contamination. They have the ISO 9001 standard.
The multifunctional and reactive resin provides cured films with good hardness and resistance/blocking to solvents. Ebecryl 85 is ideal for use in overprint varnishes (OPV), flexo, digital and screen printing inks that are cured with any UV or UV LED light.
