Colombia. Paint manufacturer Pintuco recently presented to a group of contractors in charge of the development of the tracks in Colombia, its new cold plastic technology for the demarcation of high duration on tracks.
In alliance with VyS, the contractor that acquired the special machine for this application, the manager of Pintuco's signaling business, Juan Carlos Calle, and his team in Bogotá, invited the representatives of the different road concessions in the country to witness this technology that in addition to having a more efficient application process, increases safety on the roads for users, says the company.
Cold plastic is a two-component paint that is embossed when applied, allowing the driver to feel when the vehicle touches the line, which produces a sound that can help generate alertness.
It also has micro spheres that increase the level of reflectivity, which allows safer driving at night.
In addition to Brazil, Colombia is the second country to have cold plastic technology available. Another benefit is durability. An application of this type lasts three times longer than any other signaling product, retaining its reflectivity and anti-slip characteristics.
