International. A new dispersion agent for pigment preparations of water origin has been developed by Clariant, which is directed towards organic and black smoke pigments, these dispersants give extra shine paints, thanks to their high pigment load.
The combination of polymers makes it possible to prepare dispersions with a pigment concentration of more than 50% - without sacrificing flow capacity. This can be done using this new technology.
According to European Coatings, pigment preparations have viscosities within the range of 50 to 500 mPas. They have low levels of volatile organic compounds and are suitable for use in low-emission decorative paints.
