International. A new coating that protects anodized aluminum has been developed in order to achieve non-stick surfaces, as well as to achieve greater corrosion protection and repel dirt.
By means of sealing, Teflon nanoparticles are introduced into the pores of the anodic layer. For this reason, the resulting coating allows to obtain highly hydrophobic parts, with great resistance to corrosion and chemical agents and, in addition, with low coefficient of friction.
The coating can demonstrate all its properties in applications where there is a demand in friction and abrasion resistance, as in sectors such as aerospace and automotive.
The Spanish company Ansal and the AIMME Technological Institute were in charge of the creation of this coating.
