Guatemala. The new El Volcán Regional Integral Paint Distribution Center was inaugurated at the end of October, increasing the installed capacity of its paints, coatings and automotive line plant with an area of more than 5,000 square meters and an investment of more than US$3 million.The expansions will allow an increase in production capacity of more than 50%, making El Volcán one of the strongest producers in Central America, also generating 200 new jobs. In addition, the Distribution Center will have a private customs warehouse, facilitating export control.
El Volcán is the paints and coatings division of the Duwest Group, which is part of the North American multinational DuPont de Nemours & Co.
