Three basic colors are preferred for the painting of cars according to the results presented in automotive 2009; Black, white and silver were chosen as the most popular according to DuPont Refinish's annual Global Automotive Colour Popularity Report.The DuPont study says that despite differences in regions, color preferences around the world are similar. In Europe, black represents 27% of the market, silver 19.9% and white obtained 10.2%. In North America, white tops the list with 17.8%, followed by 17% for black and 16.7% for silver.
The market in India shows other parameters, silver is preferred, 26.4%, white gets 23.4%, red has 16.1% and blue represents 10.9%.
In the world, silver tops the ranking with 25%, black has 23%, white 16% and gray 9%, green and yellow / gold are the colors with less acceptance in the list.
