Germany. Evonik Industries AG reported that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Monarch Catalyst, from Dombivli, India. The company, which employs about 300 workers, will be renamed Evonik Catalyst.
The company indicated that its existing customer base will continue to serve through established sales channels. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
All future evonik catalyst activities in India will be operated through the newly acquired company. This business line of Evonik currently produces special catalysts, custom catalysts and catalyst components for the life sciences and fine chemical, industrial and petrochemical, and polyolefin market segments.
Evonik's current catalyst production network includes three locations in Germany, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in Japan and one in China, as well as a headquarters for precious metal catalysts in India.
