International. Huntsman Performance Products Corp.'s division announced plans to expand specialty amine capacity at its manufacturing facilities in Pétfürdő, Hungary and Conroe, Texas.
The new multipurpose unit in Pétfürdő expands Huntsman's manufacturing portfolio, leverages the company's integrated amine capacity and increases amine production capacity by a minimum of 20% at that plant. The expansion will add equivalent capacity in Conroe and improve the flexibility of its special amine unit. The new capabilities are scheduled to operate in 2016.
In recent years Huntsman has seen interest in many accelerated special amine product lines around the world. Special amines are used by many industries, including for the manufacture of polyurethane foams, coatings, lubricants and detergents.
