International. Hempel's Hempadur AvantGuard product range won the Frost & Sullivan European Growth, Innovation and Leadership Awards.
The award was presented at a banquet held at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on May 14. Each year Frost & Sullivan recognizes industry leaders and innovators for their achievements throughout the year. The awards span a wide range of industries, from information and communication technologies to chemicals and healthcare.
The award recognizes the ability of products to provide corrosion protection for steel structures in harsh environments. According to Frost & Sullivan, this ensures that the coatings can meet customer requirements for performance and reliability in harsh environments.
Frost & Sullivan's president told the representative that "Hempel has developed a coating system that activates all the zinc in the coating. As a result, the coating meets and often exceeds customer requirements for performance and reliability. This allows customers to improve the productivity and durability of their assets."
The award was received by the Hempel team of Pernille Lind Olsen, David Morton, Karsten Soerensen, Santiago Arias and Josep Palasi.
