United States. PPG Industries announced executive appointments effective June 1. Vince Morales, current vice president of investor relations, will become vice president of investor relations and treasurer.
Morales will report to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Frank Sklarsky. Since joining PPG in 1985, Morales has advanced through various financial leadership roles of increasing responsibility. He was appointed to his current position in 2007. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Robert Morris University and an MBA from Ohio State University.
Eric Thiele, currently treasurer of the company, will become vice president and business controller of the area of architectural and protective and marine coatings. In this role, Thiele will report to Sklarsky and PPG President and Chief Operating Officer Michael McGarry.
It was also announced the appointment of Scott de Minder, currently chief financial officer and business controller of the industrial coatings and packaging area, to director, reporting to Morales. John Jankowski, assistant treasurer, will also brief Morales. Jankowski will continue to provide leadership to the global treasury staff and in key areas of the treasury function.
