China. BASF's coatings division has entered into a manufacturing agreement with Guangdong Yinfan Chemical Co. Ltd. (Yinfan) in which Yinfan will manufacture car repair coatings for BASF. Yinfan will use BASF formulas and technologies for the manufacture of the coatings, which will target the non-premium segment, at its new production facility in Jiangmen City, China.
"Establishing a reliable regional manufacturing presence for auto repair coatings is important to meet the growing market demands. Yinfan has outstanding competencies to ensure production and quality. The partnership with Yinfan supports BASF's ambitious plan in this fast-growing market," said Peter Fischer, BASF's Senior Vice President of Coating Solutions in Asia-Pacific.
