Colombia. A new course is being prepared by the Colombian Association of Corrosion and Protection (Ascro) which will be held from April 20 to 25 in Barrancabermeja, Santander, this time it will be on Coating Applicators.
The course is aimed at operators of equipment for surface treatment with abrasive jet and coating applicators with spray methods. Participants must have a demonstrated experience of at least one year in surface treatment activities and application of coatings for corrosion control.
Some of the topics of the course are the following:
- Coating Technology.
- Surface preparation standards and procedures (abrasive jet, mechanical and manual techniques)
- Coating application techniques (manual methods, spraying with airless and low pressure equipment)
- Interpretation of technical data sheets and coating mixing process.
- Quality control in coating application processes (EPH calibration, EPS, adhesion, film continuity, environmental conditions).
- Management of safety data sheets.
- Industrial Safety in coating application.
