United States. BASF's facility in Freeport, Texas, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its first new plant coming online since 2007, adding a new product range to Freeport's portfolio.
The plant manufactures acrylic emulsion polymer dispersions for architectural coatings, construction chemicals, adhesives and applications for the paper chemical industry.
BASF operates three other emulsion polymer plants throughout North America: in Monaca, PA; Chattanooga, TN; and Altamira, Mexico. The Freeport plant will expand the offering to help better serve all of the company's customers in the south-central United States.
