Mexico. The paint manufacturing company, Comex, recently inaugurated the so-called Industrial Technological Innovation Center where users will be able to make evaluations on the behavior of products in different conditions of time and space.
The cost of the investment was 35 million pesos (about US$2,500,000) and was created with the support of the Sectoral Fund for Technological Innovation of the Ministry of Economy and the National Council of Science and Technology (Conacyt).
Now the firm's customers will have the possibility to evaluate the products in situations such as humidity, high temperatures, corrosion, different climates, among other aspects, which will allow them to choose the right product and the application of liquid coatings or powder coatings.
The CEO of Comex, Marcos Achar, who led the inauguration of this space, said in this regard that "by launching the CITI, we endorse the Group's commitment to the beautification and protection of Mexico, backed by a group of experts and a superior portfolio of products and unique and specialized infrastructure." Achar emphasized that "these facilities are also a sign of the commitment of Comex and our Professional Division, to innovate and improve our products for the benefit of all our customers.
