International. Brazilian executive Denise Porcelli assumed the presidency of the Solvay group in Latin America on October 1, replacing Osni de Lima, the company said in a statement.
Trained in Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), Denise Porcelli also did the International Executive MBA at FIA/USP (SP) and completed management programs at the Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland; at the University of Navarra, Barcelona campus, in Spain; at Bocconi School of Management, in Milan, Italy; at the École de Management, in Lyon, France; and at the Judge Institute of Management, University of Cambridge, In Great Britain.
Denise Porcelli has extensive experience in the Corporate Legal area, has held positions of responsibility in global organizations, most recently in Atlas Schindler Elevators and Pirelli S/A. She joined Rhodia in 2008, assuming the position of General Counsel of the company in the region.
In 2012, he joined the Solvay group, which had acquired Rhodia the previous year. In addition to General Counsel of the Solvay group, a role she will accumulate with the presidency, Denise Porcelli is on the boards of directors of some of Solvay's joint ventures in the region.
