However, the total number of mixtures or substances placed on the market or used on the market is not known for sure. In Colombia, the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development's national chemical profile recognizes 726 of the substances that are implemented in industrial sectors.
The substances listed as the most dangerous by the government entity are pesticides, thinner, varsol and solvents, sodium hydroxic, sulfuric acid and mercury.
The previous year, ccS's Chemical Safety Information Center, Cisproquim®, reported 661 cases of acute poisoning.
