United States. DeFelsko recently received recognition from NACE International as the winner of innovation of the year in the Materials Performance Corrosion category.
The company achieved this recognition thanks to the development of the product PosiTector® Interchangeable Probes, for inspection instruments. This product accepted all interchange tests, including coating thickness (6000/200/PC), environment (DPM), surface profile (RTR/SPG), and ultrasonic wall thicknesses (UTG).
This innovation enables quick and easy conversion from a coating thickness gauge to a surface profile meter, a dew point meter or a wall thickness ultrasonic meter with a simple probe change. Each probe maintains its own unique calibration information that allows the interchangeability of the probe.
The winners were announced during the recent Corrosion 2014 conference and expo.
